Sculptures and furniture pieces created by Keiju Kawashima were installed in the 2nd floor entrance hall and elevator halls (1st and 2nd floors) of the Otemae Joint Government Building in Osaka (completed in September 2022).
Various trees grow on the construction site of this government building, and from the early stages of the planning of the new building, active use of these trees was considered as part of the memory of the site.
Kawashima created sculptures and furniture (counter tops) using these trees for this project.
